I am often asked, “what is it about weddings tha I am often asked, “what is it about weddings that you love so much?” For me, it’s an absolute 𝘫𝘰𝘺 to build an entirely immersive experience centered around the couple from the ground up – every detail resonates with who they are, what they love, and tells their story in a way that only those who know them will understand. Michaela and Dexter travelled from Dubai to celebrate their love story at the picturesque White Light venue in Johannesburg, and it truly felt like the stars aligned as these two soulmates promised each other forever ✨ Warm, balmy weather, delicious food, bubbly, love, laughter, and a carpet of glittering highveld stars made the ingredients for their most perfect day! A colour palette infused with hues of cinnamon, ivory, caramel; and subtle personalized details woven throughout – a wedding design striking a delicate balance between refined yet approachable that was an extension of Michaela and Dexter at every turn. It is a dream come true to have our 𝘔𝘪𝘭𝘬 & 𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺 editorial featured internationally on @thewhitewren Tenderness, poetic detail, and an ode to beauty form a romantic unity in this enchanting vignette. Our aim was to create something exceptionally delicate, feminine, romantic, and ethereal in style. The idea that something so stunningly beautiful can at the same time feel both effortless and unspoken is awe-inspiring! That was our goal: to create a garden-inspired look that embodied the effortlessly romantic nature of a lush garden while incorporating a touch of modern elegance. The all-white colour palette, no lace gown, and modern tablescape all came together seamlessly - bringing our vision for a modern, garden-inspired wedding to life. Our colour palette was inspired by the beauty of the spring season, blooming trees, and flowers that exude a sense of freshness. In addition to the enchanting floral masterpieces, it was the bride herself who was seen as artwork and as the epitome of perfection. For me, this vignette celebrates the themes of patience, stillness, and new chapters in life. These concepts are so poignant for me currently, but are also key for couples embarking on a new season in their lives. Creating a juxtaposition between old and new, modern and romantic depicts that timeless beauty never fades – perfectly blending the romance of garden weddings, with a touch of modern elegance!
