Gold, pinks and bubbly too, this tea time soiree is positively lovely

Time For Tea
The idea to host a tea time soiree originated when I realized the need to acknowledge the incredible creative individuals that I have had the pleasure of working with over the past few months. By Blythe dedicated the month of February to friendship and sisterhood, and what better way to celebrate the inspirational women in our industry than with a tea time soiree? Filled with details – quaint and sweet – this celebration was picture perfect!
Sweet Treats
I went with a soft, feminine theme and included plenty of sweet treats that were almost too pretty to eat – the rose flavoured cupcakes and floral macaroon tower were prepared by Foondee Cakes, candy-topped and berry-filled champagne presented by Bubbles and Cork, and chocolate-dipped strawberries bejewelled the sweet display.
In Full Bloom
Dreamy blooms in shades of pinks and soft yellow (to symbolise friendship) adorned the beautiful table top. Lizelle from Pronkertjie styled Privet leaves and berries, Roses, Anthuriums, Carnations, Lisianthus and Phalaenopsis Orchids in these elegant arrangements. I love the feminine vintage floral china and the frayed edging on the knotted napkins, which truly add a touch of charm to the tablescape. Both keep the palette neutral to celebrate the pretty, fresh florals yet remain decisively feminine.
The lush floral garland from Moi Décor added a touch of “Marie Antoinette” to our picture-perfect setting in the glass conservatory at Buitengeluk, and captured the essence of the shoot beautifully.
Playing Dress-Up
It was so extraordinary to include the suppliers in the shoot itself. We were all dressed in beautiful dresses and floral skirts by the talented designer, Mrs Rose, who carefully selected pieces from her collection to complement our garden setting.
A tea-time soiree calls for table-top elegance, petite pastries, feminine china, and a group of ladies who spark joy and creativity! Here’s to the wonderful suppliers involved in making this day a reality:
