Bold and Beautiful: How to host your ‘Gals’ for Galentines Day

Gather the ladies you love! Today we celebrate each other with roses in full bloom, bold and beautiful stationery, and chocolate-dipped croissants.
As a bold and beautiful party that’s hosted by women for women, I wanted to create a delightfully visual and fun experience for friends – an escape from the stresses of everyday life.
The ultimate goal of any Galentine’s party is happy, light-hearted, spirited fun – a celebration of friendship and one another! To me, this meant an abundance of vibrant pink tones, lush and beautiful flowers, fun cheeky stationery, delicious cocktails, decadent feminine desserts, and all things fabulous! What better way to celebrate the ‘Gals’ who have supported me on this incredible journey!
And with that, it’s time to celebrate!
RSVP “yes” to these cheeky invitations and stationery designed by JP Design. The bold black font balances any frilly feminine details and contrasts beautifully against the bright pops of pink.
A Seat at the Table
Think classic Galentine’s Day colours like pink and rose gold – pretty but more powerful. The table is set with cerise pink and black candles, cement and rose gold candlesticks, black single-stem vases from Moi Décor, gold cutlery, fringed napkins, chrome-tipped champagne flutes, and a hand-painted table-runner which anchors it all in a pristine all-white space.
For each guest, a small printed bouquet-cone filled with Carnations, Roses, Lisianthus and fresh greenery was gifted as a small gesture of appreciation and friendship.
“Flowers are like friends – they bring colour to your world.” And these arrangements are no exception. Lizelle from Pronkertjie used cerise pink Anthuriums, Roses, Carnations, Lisianthus and fresh greenery to create ultra-lush arrangements that any girl would love!
Sweets for My Sweethearts
A delectable spread to feast our eyes and hearts! WhereCupcakesLive prepared chocolate-dipped croissants as well as doughnut pops. Bubbles and Cork presented candy-topped champagne, and The Popsicle Parlour prepared strawberry-watermelon-mojito popsicles that were made with freshly squeezed lime juice and laden with fresh fruit and mint. The show-stopper three-tiered cake prepared by Fondee Cakes, with pink watercolour smear, was adorned with bright Carnations and greenery. Heart-shaped waffles were drizzled with sweet glaze and topped with fresh raspberries and blueberries.
It was such an incredible afternoon celebrating my nearest and dearest. Afternoons spent like these enable you to cherish fond memories, make plans for the future, and talk about how much we adore each other. Friendships are special and I encourage you to celebrate the ladies in your life as much as possible!
